Well, the classes have ended this fall, everything has been fired and the students have come back to pick up their stuff. Everybody ended up with some very nice pieces to take home and should be very proud of themselves. This is the most students I have had at one time here at the studio and it created the largest collection of student work I’ve ever had.
Improvements were definitely made throughout the class and you can tell which pieces were made in the first class and which were made in the last class. I am looking forward to the next session of classes and for the new year!
I now have a class schedule for the beginning of the year. This gives everybody some time to plan out their winter – it is nice to get out of the house in the winter to help beat the cabin fever.
Introduction to the Pottery Wheel – Saturdays, Jan 8 – Feb 12, 10 AM – 12:30 PM
Intermediate Pottery Wheel – Saturdays, Jan 8 – Feb 12, 1 PM – 3:30 PM
I am also scheduling more classes for late February/March as well. I am really looking forward to the next couple months as these are my (and my students) most productive time of the year since there is a lot less to do outside. Feel free to contact me for more class information or to sign up! Class size is very limited! Hope to see you then!
I am also working with Stewartville Community Education on potentially teaching a class or two at the high school during February and March. So keep an eye out!
